CMT / Insulin Training Course

Attendance/Location:
This comprehensive Certified Medication Technician (CMT) and Insulin Training Course is designed to help individuals gain the knowledge, skills, and certification needed to safely administer medications and insulin in long-term care settings.
This blended learning course combines both in-person instruction and virtual Zoom sessions to provide flexibility while ensuring hands-on clinical experience and testing requirements are met.
Students must attend three in-person classes in Jefferson City, MO. The remainder of the classes must be attended online through Zoom.
Classes will be held on Mondays from 4 - 8 p.m.
Class size is limited to the first 15 students.

Students must attend in-person on the following dates:
- Aug. 31 - Lower Level Meeting Room, Missouri Health Care Association, Jefferson City
- Oct. 19 - Clinical Insulin, location TBD, Jefferson City
- Oct. 26 - CMT Test Day, location TBD, Jefferson City
Zoom is required on the following dates:
- Sept. 14
- Sept. 21
- Sept. 28
- Oct. 5
- Oct. 12 - Insulin
Course Requirements:
- Attend all classes, both in-person days and online days.
- A letter of recommendation is required for the student, including information recommending the student to take the course, and include contact information for the person writing the recommendation. The letter must come from the current employer facility administrator or director of nursing, or from a previous long-term care employer if unemployed. This letter must be uploaded during the registration process or emailed to Shellie Goodin at shellie@mohealthcare.com prior to attending the class.
- The student is required to be registered on the Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR).
- The student is required to supply a copy of their High School Diploma/G.E.D., CNA Certificate showing certification for at least 6 months, and Family Care Safety Background Check prior to attending the class.
- All required documents can be uploaded during the registration process. If any documents are missing at the end of the course, you will not be eligible for certification.
- If more than one (1) class is missed, student(s) will be dismissed from the program.
Registration Fees:
- MHCA Members - $900 per person
- Non-Members - $1,500 per person
Payment/registration must be received by noon the day before the training begins. Company checks or money orders should be made payable to MHCA. Credit card payments are accepted. We accept Visa, MasterCard & American Express. We do not accept personal checks.
Cancellation/Refunds:
Refunds will only be issued for cancellations by the Friday before the first night of class.

When registering, you will be required to acknowledge that you have read and agree to the following:

- Cancellation policy
- Agree to attend the in-person dates of Aug. 31, Oct. 19, and Oct. 26.
