Can't bear to have your staff miss work for a week of training?  Cost of hotel, food and trip expenses worrying you in these economic times?  MHCA, in partnership with WeCareOnline, offers the perfect solution in this four-week course offered 100% online!

 

Social Service Designee participants will receive insight to the Social Service department of a long term care facility, learn the aging process, the performance skills of the SSD and understand the role and function of the position.  Upon successful completion of the course, attendees will have met the Missouri State requirements to be a Social Service Designee in a long term care setting and will receive a Certificate of Attendance from the Missouri Health Care Association. 

 

Requirements:

  • Computer & Internet Access
  • Valid Email Address for each student

Workshop fee does not include the cost of the required textbook "Long Term Care for Activity Professionals and Recreational Therapists".  This book may be purchased with the course on our website.

Time

The course is October 6 - November 2, 2026.  It is offered monthly. Students are provided an allotted amount of time to complete each part of the required course work. There are no dedicated days or times that they must be online.
