Gov. Kehoe shares proclamation
Celebrate National Skilled Nursing Care Week

National Skilled Nursing Care Week (NSNCW) is almost here, and we are excited to celebrate the incredible residents, caregivers, staff, volunteers, and leaders who make Missouri’s long-term care communities so special every single day.

This year’s National Skilled Nursing Care Week takes place Sunday, May 10, through Saturday, May16, and the theme, “Moments in Bloom,” recognizes how everyday acts of compassion, connection, and teamwork grow into meaningful experiences for residents, families, and staff.

As part of this year’s celebration, MHCA is proud to share that Gov. Mike Kehoe has officially proclaimed May 10–16, 2026, as National Skilled Nursing Care Week in Missouri.

This proclamation highlights the essential role skilled nursing centers play in caring for Missouri’s seniors and individuals with disabilities, while recognizing the dedication and impact of long-term care professionals across our state. Download the proclamation for use in your facility.

We encourage every facility to proudly share the proclamation, celebrate your teams, and spotlight the meaningful moments happening within your community throughout the week.

AHCA also prepared the following resources to support your celebration efforts.

  • NSNCW Planning Guide
  • Promotional Toolkit
  • Logos and Graphics
  • NSNCW Products and Decorations

Thank you for the care, compassion, and commitment you bring to your residents and communities every day. We look forward to celebrating with you during National Skilled Nursing Care Week!
